Particular Pieces – Luxury Sweaters

Recently my family and I started watching Schitt’s Creek, and it’s quickly become a family obsession. We love the writing for the characters, the story of redemption and – though the rest of my family doesn’t see the same appeal as me – the sweaters that David Rose (played by Daniel Levy) wears throughout the show.

I mean, something about those sweaters just speaks to my soul. My overly flamboyant and incredibly extra soul. His fashion sense is one of the stars of the show, and I would have loved to do a post about his myriad of outfits, but I wanted to do something a bit more unique and fun.

In several interviews the cast and production teams stated several times that the wardrobe was almost as important as the casting itself. The show, across the entire six seasons, showcases clothing from labels that most of us can only dream of. However, there’s a way for everyone to dress more like their favorite character without going *ahem* quite as out there as the matriarch of the family (who is such an icon, FYI).

So this post is about sweaters. Sweaters with a little bit of an edge, sweaters with a little bit of show and sweaters that will requite a cedar chest to keep them fresh (Season 2, Episode 3). In a future post I’ll be doing an outfitting with clothing that us mere mortals can afford, but this is just a showcase about some of my favorites that have been popping up.

Dolce & Gabbana – Textured Weave Logo Sweater:

Les Hommes – Shoulder Detail Round Neck Sweater:

Avant Toi – Dropped Shoulder Jumper:

Fendi – Fluorescent Logo Wool Knit Crewneck Sweater:

As always, thank you for reading through this! If you enjoyed the sweaters or have other suggestions for some that I could include in a future post, please leave a comment and let me know! I want to do a post inspired by David’s outfits as a whole, but as I said above, his sweaters are easily one of the stars of Schitt’s Creek.

And if you haven’t watched it yet, do yourself a favor and do it. I promise you it won’t be disappointing.
